We
used the existing client logo to design the color scheme and layout
of the site. Since the owner wanted a golf theme, yet is in the media
business, we featured some fairly large 'rollover' cartoon television
graphics on the home page. Additionally, we did a cool Flash intro
on the home page. While the Flash file is MUCH larger than we would
normally publish, it's pretty cool and the client likes it. |

The
site was designed and published using Macromedia Dreamweaver Ultradev.
We designed a custom 'template' for the site, so subsequent changes
to the existing pages or additions of new ones can be accomplished
extremely rapidly (within minutes) and effectively. |

This
is a simple site with complex graphics. A great deal of image optimization
was done to keep page loading times somewhat reasonable. The home
page is 'fat' in file sizes, but the large and complex graphics necessitated
this. It is optimized fairly well, though, for example the bottom
'television' rollovers are split into many pieces so 'duplicate' graphical
elements are only 'loaded' once, instead of once per graphical element. |
